Premanie
I have been an English teacher all my life. In a few months I will be retiring.
I love knitting, it is a soothing work for me. I learned the skill when I was very young and love it to this day. I mostly knit jewellery with floral patterns.

Chamari
I am a housewife and I have two babies. My hobby is knitting since my school days. My mother taught it first. As time went by, I learned new ways on my own.
Knitting has become a small job now. The money I earn from selling the knitted things is a big help for my family. I am also running my small business. My hope is to keep earning some money from it and support my family.

I joined this project because I’m very passionate about supporting women and local businesses.
My younger sister crochets bags inspired by flowers and and I help with social media content creating and illustrating our dear crafters and also commissions!
It’s amazing to be a part of such a warm, kind community and I hope to support this project in any way I am able to.

Gayani
My only source of income is tailoring. My mother taught me how to sew. I have the ability to look at a picture of a dress of any design and create it.
The money earned by sewing clothes is used for my son's education and daily activities. This is my main source of income. Thank you very much to all of you who buy clothes from me and give me income.

Manomi
My older sister taught me how to weave. I enjoyed it a lot and quickly became really good at it so it remained my hobby to this day.
I am weaving a lot of things including pouches and bags. The nostalgic vibe I get from them makes me happy!

Ajani
I am a mother of three children. Making soft toys and babyshoes is one of my favourite hobbies, but the main reason I make them is to generate an extra income.
In Sri Lanka, the cost of living is currently very high. I like everything about Sri Lanka - if we have enough income.
